Web Development Career Positions
Community building begins with a solid team and To Whit Ventures is assembling an adventuring party fit to topple dragons. If you are passionate about games and good at what you do, we want to hear from you.
Art - Career Roles
We are searching for modern/urban fantasy artists who are comfortable working in a predefined style that gravitates more towards Final Fantasy VII-VIII than The Dresden Files. Rather than discrete positions, we are searching for team members who can fill multiple roles in the following specialties. All of these rolls have one unifying requirement: you must be able to draw magic. Interpret that as you will.
In terms of medium, we are looking for the sort of largely-realistic yet fantastically detailed illustrations you would see printed in TCGs, or indeed, TTRPG source books. That said, we are open to more-stylized approaches for certain features (I.E.; comics, photo-pastiche, etc.).
To Whit Ventures believes in patronizing human artistry and honoring the effort that goes into mastering a craft, harnessing creativity, and developing a personal voice. As such, we are not looking for AI submissions at this time.
To Whit Ventures is looking for a talented full stack developer with strong creative thinking skills and a hunger for collaboration. Familiarity with a wide variety of languages is a plus, and priority consideration will be accorded to candidates familiar with tabletop and/or video games.
Growth & Benefits
To Whit Ventures seeks to foster creativity and expressiveness in its employees at every opportunity with a workplace that is dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic. We are committed to fairly compensating employees and passionately believe in rewarding loyalty.
Since TWV is in its earliest phases, the first round of hires will become founding team members. They will have the opportunity to shape the future of the company and will also be eligible for early equity.
To Whit Ventures is looking for a compulsive character creator to illustrate the various entities that will appear in the core Anno Amagium rulebook. Most of the player characters will be rendered in uniforms as defined by the series lore, though there will be ample opportunity for creative expression via civilian and outlaw attire.
You will work closely with the Lead Designer and Prop Master to define the look and feel of Anno Amagium’s fashion, based on existing lore, preliminary concept art, real-world references, and written descriptions.
You will also create monsters. Lots of monsters. Some of them will be based on fairly familiar concepts, such as vampires, shapeshifters, fae, and magical automatons, while others will be more eldritch, and a good number shall be of your own creation.
We are looking for a mad fantasy Da Vinci. The one who was always sketching magic swords and suits of armor in math class. This artist will need to be able illustrate everything from mundane, modern firearms, to jewel-encrusted daggers with ghostly smoke enchantments, to alchemical lab equipment, and some surprisingly futuristic—yet still distinctly magical—technology. You will work closely with the Lead Designer and Character Creator to define the look and feel of Anno Amagium’s fashion, based on existing lore, preliminary concept art, real-world references, and written descriptions.
Anno Amagium’s reality is our own world, magnified, exaggerated, and enriched by magic. It is tame compared to the ever-shifting realms of the Faed, and the abstract dimensional Veil separating the two. Our Architect will need to be able to render all of the above. Our Architect will work carefully with our 2D Level Designer to ensure there is parity between the illustrations in the rules, and the environments that are used in-game.
Anno Amagium is looking to include a number of battle maps with its inaugural launch, and in content updates thereafter. The Architect will work closely with the 2D Level Designer to ensure visual and stylistic parity between the rules and in-game environments.
